Be moved by two treasured fairy tales through the music of Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, conducted by Marie Jacquot in her NSO debut. Tchaikovskys The Nutcracker Suite brings Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and an enchanted Christmas Eve party to the concert stage, while Prokofievs Cinderella Suite reimagines the timeless story with music that is playful and packed with clever turns. Between the ballets, Jorge Federico Osorio casts a different kind of spell in Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 21, famous for its slow, haunting second movement. Three beloved works, three worlds of magic!
