Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, founded in 1998 by best friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme. The group has included a wide range of other musicians that appear on the band’s studio albums and live shows. EODM has released four studio albums to date -- Peace Love Death Metal, Death By Sexy, Heart On, and Zipper Down -- and has toured the world extensively over the past two decades. A brand-new studio album is in the works for a worldwide release in 2025.
EODM first appeared on Homme's The Desert Sessions Volumes 3 & 4, released in 1998. Over the next few years, Homme experienced huge success with QOTSA but returned to EODM in 2004 to release their debut Peace Love Death Metal in March 2004. Songs like “I Only Want You” and “Miss Alissa,” from the album were used in TV commercials and the album became a source for film, video game and movie trailers.
The band followed up their debut with Death By
